Trailers

Security and live tracking

GPS device with a built-in battery

The device has its own battery and charges itself while the trailer is connected to a vehicle. It is the only option if you want security and live tracking.

  • Its own location and live tracking on a disconnected trailer as well.
  • Geofences and alerts: movement, leaving the zone.
  • Waterproof housing, it stands up to Estonian weather.
Reports and overview

BLE sensor (Teltonika EYE)

A wireless sensor that is not meant for security or live tracking. Information about the trailer is updated when the sensor is in contact with one of your vehicles, the location comes from that host vehicle's GPS device.

  • You see where the trailer was left and which vehicle it is behind at the moment.
  • Reports on how the trailer is used.
  • It also measures temperature and humidity: the EYE Sensor also measures movement and a magnetic contact (door open / closed).
  • Small, easy to fit, inexpensive.
  • The battery cannot be replaced: the device has to be replaced after a few years.
  • It gives no alert when none of your vehicles is nearby.

According to the manufacturer (Teltonika, CR2450, non-replaceable): EYE Sensor 2.5 yrs (3 s interval) · 4 yrs (5 s, default) · 5 yrs (10 s). EYE Beacon 4 yrs · 8 yrs · 10 yrs at the same intervals. Actual life depends on the settings and the temperature.

For adventurers New

For motorcyclists, ATV riders and anyone who wants to ride winding roads and trails the map does not know. You do not need a GPS device for this, a phone is enough.

  • Curvy road generator: say where from and where to, choose how curvy and which surface. You get three routes to choose from. Round trips too: there and back another way.
  • GPX tracks: upload, draw directly in the app or build on the map. Edit, cut and change colours.
  • Turn-by-turn guidance: navigate on the track and to the track. Turn instructions on roads, guidance from track geometry where there are no roads.
  • Route sharing: a built route or track lands on a friend’s map with one tap.
  • Group rides: MyClient turns a friend’s phone into a GPS device. You see each other on the map in real time, even in a big city.
  • MyNav Simple: self-registration, 7 days free, add your own devices.

Trip sharing

Family and friends can follow your trip: they see in real time where you are, where you have been and which countries you have crossed. You decide who sees what.

  • Link with a code: the viewer needs no MyNav account. They open the link on a phone or computer and see the map. You choose how long the link is valid, up to 30 days.
  • You choose what is shown: location and data age are always on. Speed, route travelled, stops and mileage you switch on or off yourself. The trip can have a name and a destination.
  • Sharing with a code or QR code: another MyNav user enters the six-digit code or scans the QR code and the vehicle appears on their map. For one person or up to ten at once.
  • Groups: save a list of friends and share a vehicle with the whole group in one click.
  • Fall alert: when the device detects a fall, everyone the vehicle is shared with gets a notification.

In case of theft: Mobile network location (LBS) Add-on

If the GPS signal is lost or someone uses a jammer, the approximate location of the vehicle can be worked out from the mobile masts, and followed while the trail is still warm.

  • Three sources at once, not one: every location is calculated from several independent sources and the results are compared with each other. When the sources agree, our measurements show the error is typically under 200 metres.
  • Confidence shown by colour: green, the sources confirm each other; yellow, the difference is moderate; red, the sources disagree. You do not have to guess how reliable the result is.
  • Theft mode: switches satellite reception off and makes the device use up to five masts at once instead of one. A location arrives even where there is no GPS at all.
  • On-demand tracking: the device sends its location every 10 seconds and does not go to sleep. It runs for an hour; if you want, the server extends it by itself until you switch it off.
Accuracy depends on the mast network: 150–250 m when the sources confirm each other, typically 250–400 m in a city, 400–1000 m where masts are sparse, and up to 3000 m in weak coverage. Theft mode is supported by the FTC and ATC series; on-demand tracking by FTC, FMB and FMC.

How the add-on works

You buy it as an add-on: LBS is active on your vehicle all the time. In case of theft the mobile network location is there immediately, without anyone having to switch anything on.

You do not buy it: the option is still there: in an emergency we switch the feature on from our side and help locate the device. But time may matter here, switching it on takes a moment, and in a theft every minute can be critical.

Why speed matters, self-help

The Estonian Law of Property Act, § 41 subsection 2 states: If a movable is taken from a possessor unlawfully, in secret or by force, the possessor has the right to take the movable back immediately from the offender caught in the act or pursued. The first subsection of the same section allows possession to be defended by force against unlawful interference, without exceeding the limits of self-defence.

In other words: the law allows for the situation where the thief is caught right away. Once the trail has gone cold, the matter goes through the police and the courts, which is why it matters that the location is available immediately.

This is not legal advice. We always recommend informing the police first and passing the location on to them, the limits of self-help are narrow and a court has the final say on them.

Offline maps and navigation

Coverage drops in the mountains, in forests and on foreign highways exactly when you need the map most. MyNav is built so it does not leave you behind.

  • Maps by country on your phone: download a country’s map pack in advance: vector map and topographic map with terrain, for Estonia the Land Board base map and for Finland the National Land Survey (MML) base map.
  • Starts without coverage: the app opens, the map is there and your vehicles, tracks and geofences are on it.
  • Navigation without coverage: a previously built GPX track, MyNav route or curvy road works and turn instructions keep coming even with no signal.
  • Turn-by-turn guidance in 27 countries: full turn instructions on roads, elsewhere guidance from track geometry. Check your country below.
Good to know

Generating a route or a curvy road needs an internet connection. Build the route while you have coverage. After that you can navigate along it without coverage. Downloading a map pack also needs a connection, preferably WiFi.

Type a country name in English, Estonian, Russian or Finnish.

The list can be extended. If your route goes to a country not listed here, tell us and we will add it. All countries and layers on one map: countries and maps.

Trip summaries and reports

Every trip is kept. At the end of the season you know exactly how much and where you rode, and a report for your insurer or the police is a couple of clicks away.

  • Trip replay: a trip is played back on the map with speed and charts.
  • Daily and period summaries: mileage, duration, stops and route by day, week or season.
  • PDF reports: for your insurer, the police or yourself.
Adventure motorcycleAdventure motorcycle

Motorcycles

A motorcycle is small, light and often parked somewhere you cannot see it, a car park, a yard, in front of a garage. So two things matter here: that the alert reaches you at once, and that the location is known even once the bike is already moving.

  • Movement and towing alert: your phone tells you the moment the bike moves without you.
  • Fall alert: you know when a parked bike falls over: wind, an accidental push or a bad actor. Depends on the GPS device and its settings.
  • Alert on leaving a guard zone: garage, yard or car park, an area you choose.
  • Trip summaries: mileage, duration and route over the season.
  • For adventurers: curvy roads, your own GPX tracks, turn-by-turn guidance and group rides. See the adventurers page.
  • Installation at Motostation: in Tallinn, at our partner’s workshop.
Going on a motorcycle tour in Europe? A GPS device can also be rented short term, for a couple of weeks or a month. Ask for a quote and tell us when the tour starts.

Before you go, check which countries have GSM coverage in the package and where turn-by-turn guidance works: countries and maps.

Hot tubs and saunas on wheels

  • You always see the location: from your computer and your phone.
  • A geofence around the storage place: you get an alert if the asset leaves it.
  • Renting the tub out? You see where it is and when it is coming back, even when the renter does not answer the phone.
  • We fit it ourselves: we choose the device together with you and a place where it will not be found.

The type of device depends on the trailer and on what you want, we will go through it together.

Fit it yourself or have it fitted

Most devices do not need a workshop, we send them pre-configured and with instructions. If you would rather a specialist fitted it, we have partners.

Motostation

GPS device fitting for motorcycles

Motorcycle devices are fitted by our partner Motostation (Tehnikatuba OÜ) In central Tallinn. It is a motorcycle workshop doing servicing, repairs, rebuilds, spare and wear parts, accessories and tyre work. The device is fitted by a specialist who knows how your particular bike is put together.

Masina 1, Tallinn · tel 50 89 839 or 56 999 061 · [email protected]

For cars, vans, trucks, ATVs and trailers we offer installation at partner workshops across Estonia: tell us in your enquiry where you are and we will find the nearest one.
